I made this using Dusty Bear digi elements. I am framing it and giving it to the men in my immediate family as their Christmas gift. :) If you like it, feel free to use it! :)
I love my puppy. I know I wrote a poem about her earlier, but here's another.
Contentment

Sitting on the couch
Staring out the window
Knowing you'll come running
As I walk through the door
Makes my life brighter
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and
I love my puppy. She's the sweetest, smartest, prettiest pup in the universe! She gives me love all the time but especially when I need it most. I truly feel she is a gift from God to help me through the tough times I have. Here's my ode to her! :)
Puppy Love

Sweet kisses on my hands
Happy to see me always
Cuddled moments on the couch
Wagging tail behind
You have helped my lonliness
You help me be happy
Puppy love unconditionally
A new best friend
Life is about waiting. So is this poem... ;)
Waiting
Mynnette Kitchen 3-24-2011
I want it now
I don't want to wait!
I want it sooner
Rather than late.
I want what I want
Even if it's not what I need.
I want in now!
That's what I plead.
But now's not good
And I'm not in control.
So I'll just wait
Until it benefits my soul.
Relief Society is my church's women group. It was organized on March 17, 1842. All women ages 18 and up attend this class each week and we have monthly meetings as well. Our motto is "Charity never faileth" and we were organized on principle of faith and service. I am grateful to be a part of the Relief Society and so I was wanting to write a poem about it. Since I couldn't find the right words, I found one by somebody else. Relief Society |
Long a go in Nauvoo twenty sisters sat. Side by side a rainbow of difference. From the newest rose bud, To the full mature bloom of womanhood. Knitted together in faith, harmonised in aim. They were sisters. We too are known and loved by the same Father. Striving to build the kingdom one family, one home at a time. Much strength is drawn from our sisterhood. Our sister stumbles as we have, We reach to lift and steady her. Tired and weary, yet not alone, the courage, commitment and testimony of our sisters spurs us on. Our Father's work to do. Behold the handmaids of the Lord We are his hands and through us Charity never faileth. |
