Treasuring the Gospel

FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVING PROBLEMS VIEWING THE LINK--I HAVE HAD MY WIZARD HUSBAND FIX THE LINK--THE FILE SHOULD DOWNLOAD AS SOON AS YOU CLICK THE LINK *HERE* BELOW!!!

Primary lesson day! :)  I've been making lesson helps to go along with all of my Primary lessons this year and now I'll share them with you!

This week's lesson is from Primary 2, Lesson 20: The Teachings of Jesus Christ Are a Great Treasure!

Along with the main lesson layout, I've added a bit extra to fit the needs of the kids in my class.  We've got 2 age groups combined and so we need to mix it up every so often by taking a "field trip" around the building for the sake of reverence and keeping the peace.  YOU know what I mean! ;D

Here are the small changes I've made~

*Instead of having our kids look around the room for the treasure chest, we're going on a short treasure hunt around the building while my husband, and team teacher, will go to our van and get the treasure chest out and bring it into the classroom for when we return.  My DH and I will put the clues up around the building before class happens.  The treasure chest is going to be made out of an old shoe box covered in gold tissue paper.  Inside the lid of the chest will be the strip that says "The teachings of Jesus Christ are a great treasure!" and pictures from past lessons this year will be in the box.  If we have time at the end of the lesson, I'll have the kids take turns choosing a picture and telling us about it as a type of review.

*Instead of telling the kids about reasons we can be grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ, I made small pictures with the reasons as captions and will put them in a small bag and have them take turns choosing one out and reading/explaining it to the class.

*I've made my own coloring sheet for the children to use at the end of class.  It has the title of the lesson on the top and a treasure chest and scriptures (in clip art) at the bottom.

If you would like to have a copy of my lesson helps, you can find them here!   I've also added the other lesson helps I've created this year in case you need them in the future.  I hope this helps someone!  Have a restful Sabbath! :)

I came across your blog via Sugardoodle. I just signed up for the Dropbox in hopes to use some of your materials. It says, it does not exist. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
